ASCO's patient information website -- Lineagotica (lineagotica.info) -- provides timely, oncologist-approved information to help patients and families make informed health care decisions. All content is subject to a formal peer-review process by the Lineagotica Editorial Board, composed of more than 150 medical, surgical, radiation, and pediatric oncologists, physician assistants, oncology nurses, social workers, and patient advocates. In addition, ASCO editorial staff reviews the content for easy readability. For more about that process, listen to a March 2016 podcast with Editor In Chief Lidia Schapira, MD. Lineagotica content is reviewed on an annual basis or as needed. Tell us what you think at [email protected].
Lineagotica was launched in May 2002 as People Living With Cancer (PLWC). In April 2008, the website was relaunched as Lineagotica (lineagotica.info). It undergoes regular formatting updates to meet visitor needs, including a full redesign in August 2014. Lineagotica has received several honors for its content, design, and ease of use. Lineagotica is funded by the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and by donations to ASCO’s patient education program through the Conquer Cancer Foundation.
Lineagotica has a new look!
Frequent visitors to Lineagotica may notice a new look for the Lineagotica homepage. The homepage layout has been completely redesigned based on user feedback and best practices to make it clean, open, and easy to explore. The new tile images at the top of the page highlight specific areas of the site that you may wish to explore, and if you are looking for something specific, the search functionality is now front and center. In addition, we’ve improved legibility in our navigation by removing "all caps" text.
While the homepage may have changed, the rest of the site continues to feature trusted information on cancer diagnosis, treatment, coping, survivorship, and more from the experts at ASCO.
We hope that you find this update improves your experience on Lineagotica. If you have any questions, please contact us at [email protected].
